Intrx, together with Kubly, has created two custom-made store modules for Pressbyrån newsagents in Danderyd and Nyköping. “The store is aesthetically pleasing, and easy to relocate to future new establishments,” says Fredric Jansson, Managing Director of Intrx.

Our customer for the Kubly-produced modules is Reitan Convenience Sweden, which is the franchisor for both Pressbyrån and 7-Eleven stores. Design agency Reactor, which produced the concept for its own building in the project, has offices in Stockholm and Oslo.

“When Reitan Convenience Sweden commissioned the project, we did careful research to find a partner with whom we could develop the modules. We found Kubly and had a good impression of them from the beginning. They also responded well to our questions,” says Fredric Jansson, MD of Intrx.

The modules are 70 square metres per piece and are specially made for Intrx and Pressbyrån. They are distinguished, among other things, by a complex roof that is hipped, has a gentle pitch and low, sleek eaves.

“We started from an architect-drawn animation of what the store would look like, and transformed it into a real modular building. It has been a challenging and exciting project,” says Michael Johansson, Managing Director of Kubly.

Fredric Jansson is delighted with the end result, which he says is a unique solution:

“The architects at Reactor have designed a beautiful building with plenty of incoming light, and a nice canopy that leverages Pressbyrån’s heritage, and fits their market and sustainability profile. I’ve never seen a modular solution like this. While the store is aesthetically pleasing, it retains all the advantages of the module and is easy to relocate to future new establishments, which was an important aspect of the brief from Reitan Convenience Sweden.”

He describes Kubly’s contribution to the project as extremely important.

“Kubly’s expertise, tenacity and commitment have been crucial in bringing this project home. They have always seen opportunities and been solution-oriented.”

The collaboration between Intrx and Kubly began in summer 2023, and the parties have worked closely alongside each other. Kubly was involved all the way, from seeing the first architectural drawings to designing the buildings. They were also involved in production with everything that entails, such as technical installations and completion.

The store modules were delivered in early 2024.
